EMPHASIS: Safety Project--Cole, Callaway, And Boone Counties


Captain Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer, Troop F Headquarters, Jefferson City, announced today the results of a commercial vehicle check that was held throughout Cole, Callaway, and Boone counties. During the operation, a total of 698 violations were observed, which included 574 vehicle violations and 124 driver violations. The violations were observed after a total of 322 vehicle inspections were initiated by troopers and commercial vehicle officers. A total of 61 commercial vehicles and 12 drivers were placed out-of-service.
