EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Troop B Promotions


Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, is pleased to announce the promotions of three Troop B officers. The promotions were effective January 1, 2013.
Corporal Eldon Grissom was promoted to sergeant and designated the zone commander of Zone 4, Putnam and Sullivan counties. Grissom was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1990 and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop B, Zone 4. On October 1, 1993 he transferred to Zone 5, Adair and Schuyler counties. On January 1, 1996, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 5. He is a native of Kirksville, Missouri, and graduated from Kirksville High School. He holds a bachelor's of science degree in criminal justice from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. He is married to Mindy (Maloney) and they have three children: Dreyton, Devan, and Morgan.
Trooper Eric Brown was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 5, Adair and Schuyler counties. Brown was appointed to the Patrol on January 18, 2004 and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop C, Zone 1, in north St. Louis County. On June 1, 2006, he transferred to Troop B and was assigned to Zone 2, Macon and Shelby counties. He is a native of Huntsville, Missouri, and graduated from Westran High School in Huntsville, Missouri. Before being appointed to the Patrol, he attended Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Missouri, and served as a Randolph County Deputy Sheriff. He is married to Annavee (Holman) and they have three children: Trace, Kambria, and Quade.
Trooper Terry "T.J." Adams was promoted to corporal and will remain in his present assignment as the Troop B Canine Officer. Adams was appointed to the Patrol on October 20, 2002 and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop B, Zone 1, Macon and Shelby counties. On April 30, 2006, he transferred to Zone 11, Monroe and Randolph counties, and on February 3, 2008, he transferred to Zone 2, Macon and Shelby counties. On September 1, 2011, he was designated as the Troop B Canine Officer. He is a native of Monroe City, Missouri, and graduated from Monroe City R-1 High School. He attended Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Missouri, and Hannibal LaGrange College in Hannibal, Missouri. Before being appointed to the Patrol he served with the Monroe City Police Department and the Monroe County Sheriff's Department. He is married to Mandy (Farland), and they have two children: Tanner and Conner.

The Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Click it 4 Life !!!
