EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop D

Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, is pleased to announce the assignment of three new troopers to Troop D. The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 102nd Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy today, June 24, 2016. The new troopers report for duty on July 11, 2016.

Trooper Samuel R. Glass, a native of Springfield, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 13, which serves the citizens of McDonald and Newton counties. Trooper Glass graduated from Stockton High School in Stockton, Missouri. After graduating high school, he enlisted with the United States Army Reserve, where he was stationed in Parsons, Kansas. Trooper Glass also attended Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology. Trooper Glass’ field training officer will be Corporal Kenny R. Sanders, and his immediate supervisor will be Sergeant Bruce L. Klier.

Trooper Andrew C. Rickman, a native of Nixa, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 4, which serves the citizens of Stone and Taney counties. Trooper Rickman graduated from Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri. After graduating high school, he attended Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education. Trooper Rickman is married to Elise (McCabe). His field training officer will be Trooper Brandon A. Hall, and his immediate supervisor will be Sergeant Shane R. Rowe.

Trooper Braiden D. Vaught, a native of Cassville, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 11, which serves the citizens of Jasper County. Trooper Vaught graduated from Cassville High School in Cassville, Missouri. After graduating high school, he attended Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri,
where he earned an associate degree in criminal justice. His field training officer will be Trooper Bradley L. Crockett, and his immediate supervisor will be Sergeant Brandon D. Helms.
