EMPHASIS: Arrest Made In 23 Year Old Disappearance Case Of Mother And Daughter From Ray County

On May 27, 2009, at approximately 6:30 p.m., members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control and officers from the Arkansas State Police arrested Ronald D. Wrisinger, 67, of Marble Hills, Arkansas, at his residence on two counts of 1st Degree Murder.
The charges stem from an investigation by the Ray County Sheriff’s Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Rural Major Case Squad, into the disappearance of Sherry K. Wrisinger, 40, and Johnna D. Wrisinger, 16, mother and daughter, from their residence in Richmond, Missouri. Both women disappeared on June 7, 1986, and have not been seen or heard from since.
Ronald Wrisinger, husband and father, of the two missing women, has waived extradition in Arkansas and will be brought back to the State of Missouri to be arraigned on the charges.
The charges for which Ronald Wrisinger has been arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
