EMPHASIS: Troop I To Conduct DWI Saturation Patrol In Pulaski County

Captain James W. Remillard, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that sometime during the month of January troopers assigned to Troop I will conduct a DWI saturation patrol in Pulaski County. Troopers assigned to this special enforcement operation will patrol those highways where in the past a higher number of alcohol-related arrests and traffic crashes have occurred.
Captain Remillard would like to remind motorists that they can report highway emergencies and serious traffic offenses to the nearest troop headquarters by dialing *55 on a cellular telephone.
Approximately 63 percent of Missouri fatal crash victims who are required to be restrained are NOT at the time of the crash. The Patrol urges motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint.
