EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In Ste. Genevieve County

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Ste. Genevieve County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.
As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 15 arrests were made and 39 warnings were issued. Of the 15 arrests, one person was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
“Sobriety checkpoints are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout the year with a goal of reducing traffic crashes.”
