EMPHASIS: Results Of Ten-Mile Trooper Project -- Troop F


Captain Dale A. Schmidt, commanding officer, Troop F Headquarters, Jefferson City, announced today the results of the 10-mile trooper project that was held on Interstate 70 on September 4, 2009, and September 7, 2009. A total of 212 vehicles were stopped. The following is a list of enforcement contacts for the operation:

DWI -- 2 (1 Felony/1 Misdemeanor)
Speed Violations -- 77
Careless and Imprudent Driving -- 2
Fail to Yield -- 1
Seat Belt Violations -- 7
Following Too Closely -- 6
Commercial Vehicle Violation -- 1
Other Hazardous Moving Violations -- 3
Non-Moving Violations -- 16
Driver’s License Violations -- 3
Insurance Violations -- 4
Misdemeanor Drug Violations -- 11
Other Misdemeanor Arrests -- 1
Other Felony Arrests -- 1
Warnings -- 224
Traffic Crashes -- 10 (8 property damage/2 injury)
