EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In St. Louis County


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Friday, March 15, 2013, in St. Louis County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project. The following is a list of the enforcement contacts made during the operation.

DWI -- 4 arrests
Speed -- 7 summonses
Careless and Imprudent Driving -- 1 summons
Seat Belt -- 2 summonses
Stop Sign Violation -- 1 summons
No Driver's License -- 1 summons
Non-Moving Violations -- 4 summonses
Other Hazardous Moving -- 3 summonses
Misdemeanor Warrant -- 1 arrest
Warnings -- 21

“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout 2013 with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives.”

The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
