EMPHASIS: Hannibal Resident Found Deceased In Salt River Near Cincinnati Landing

On Monday, May 12, 2014, at approximately 9:48 a.m., Terry L. Marshall, 62, of Hannibal, Missouri, was found deceased in the Salt River, near the Cincinnati Landing, in Ralls County. The body has been transported to the O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, Missouri, and an autopsy has been scheduled at the Boone County Medical Examiner's office in Columbia, Missouri.
Marshall was reported missing to the Ralls County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, after he failed to return from mushroom hunting on the Salt River near the Cincinnati Landing. During the initial search, officers found Marshall's boat unattended and evidence caused officers to believe he had fallen from the boat. Since Marshall was reported missing, an extensive search has been underway by Missouri State Highway Patrol's Marine Operation Troopers and Aircraft Division; Ralls County Sheriff's Department; Northeast Missouri Correctional Center Canine Unit; U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; Adams County, Illinois, Volunteer Rescue Corps; Pike County, Illinois, Volunteer Rescue Corps; and numerous citizen volunteers.
