EMPHASIS: Troop B Area Students Participate In Patrol's Student Alliance Program

Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that 23 Troop B area high school students, representing 16 high schools, completed the 2014 Troop B Missouri State Highway Patrol Student Alliance Program. The program was conducted at the Troop B Headquarters in Macon, MO, on Saturday, March 15, 2014, and Saturday, March 22, 2014. During the two-day program, students were familiarized with many duties performed by a Missouri state trooper, and participated in hands-on activities such as firing a Glock pistol, stop and approach, and crime scene investigations. The students also observed a canine demonstration. The program, which targeted junior and seniors in high school, was conducted to provide an opportunity for interested individuals to learn more about law enforcement and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Each participant was presented a certificate of completion and a Missouri State Highway Patrol T-shirt.
