EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In Jefferson County

Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Saturday, May 1, 2010, in Jefferson County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.
As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 19 arrests were made and 43 warnings were issued. Of the 19 arrests, four people were arrested for driving while intoxicated.
“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout the year with a goal of reducing traffic crashes.”
