Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the following promotion effective October 1, 2015.
Corporal Eric Brown was promoted to sergeant, and designated the zone commander of Zone 3, Chariton and Linn counties. Brown was appointed to the Patrol on January 18, 2004, and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop C, Zone 1, in north St. Louis County. On June 1, 2006, he transferred to Troop B and was assigned to Zone 2, Macon and Shelby counties. On April 20, 2014, he transferred to Zone 2, and served as the assistant zone commander.
Sergeant Brown is a native of Huntsville, Missouri, and graduated from Westran High School in Huntsville, Missouri. Before his appointment to the Patrol, he attended Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Missouri, and served as a Randolph County deputy sheriff. He is married to Annavee (Holman) and they have three children.
Approximately 63 percent of Missouri fatal crash victims who are required to be restrained are NOT at the time of the traffic crash. The Patrol urges motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Join us in supporting the Drive To Zero Highway Deaths. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
