EMPHASIS: Highway Patrol Hosts Christian County School Crisis Symposium.

On Wednesday, April 2, 2008 the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Christian County Sheriff’s Department will host a crisis response symposium for all school districts and police departments in Christian County.

This informational symposium is designed specifically for school superintendents, administrators, school resource officers, and local law enforcement. Our goal is to communicate with school districts the need for preparedness on behalf of law enforcement and school officials in the event of a school crisis involving a student or outside party. Guest speakers will discuss current law enforcement tactics, philosophies of active shooter scenarios along with resources available to school districts on behalf of law enforcement.

This training will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Ozark Technical Community College, Richwood Valley Campus, in Ozark, Missouri. For information regarding this event please contact Sergeant D.S. Bracker at 417-895-6767 ext. 253.
