EMPHASIS: Troop C To Conduct DWI Saturations



Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer, Troop C, St. Louis, announces that sometime during the month of April 2010, Troop C officers will conduct DWI saturations in Franklin and St. Louis counties. The two areas selected for enforcement are based on a high number of drinking-related crashes, high number of contacts with drivers who have been drinking, and officer input as to probable contact with DWI violators based on officers’ past experiences.

“The intoxicated driver continues to be a major contributor to traffic crashes in Missouri,” said Captain Johnson. “Almost 33 percent of all fatal crashes are alcohol related. Please assist the Missouri State Highway Patrol in removing impaired drivers from our roadways by contacting us toll-free at 1-800-525-5555 or cellular *55.”
