EMPHASIS: Patrol Announces Promotion - Corporal Michael S. Bracker


Captain Randy Beydler, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announced effective June 1, 2008, Trooper Michael S. Bracker was promoted to corporal and designated assistant zone supervisor of Zone 11, Jasper County.

Corporal Bracker was born in Joplin, Missouri, and graduated from Glendale High School, Springfield, Missouri, in 1987. He attended Missouri State University in Springfield, graduating in 1992 with a bachelor’s of science degree in marketing management. He was employed as a loan officer with Metropolitan National Bank, Springfield, Missouri, prior to his appointment with the Patrol. Bracker began his career with the Patrol in July 1997, and was first assigned to Benton County in Troop A. In January 2001, he transferred to Troop D and was assigned to Zone 5, Jasper County.

Corporal Bracker is married to the former Melissa Hudson of Joplin, Missouri. He and Missy are the proud parents of two sons: Austin, 9, and Nicholas, 7. Mike is the son of Bob and Connie Bracker, Springfield, Missouri.
