EMPHASIS: Labor Day Weekend Enforcement Activities For Troop H

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, St. Joseph, announces Troop H will participate in the 20-Mile Trooper program and C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) during the Labor Day holiday period.
Troopers will be patrolling Interstate 35 in 20-mile segments during the holiday weekend on August 30, 2013, and September 2, 2013. The goal of the program is to reduce crashes by enforcing traffic laws and being visible to the motoring public. Troop H also has designated U.S. Highways 36, 59, 65, 71, 136, and 169 as C.A.R.E. highways. Troopers will patrol these highways during the holiday period, enforcing traffic laws, helping motorists, and being visible.
Captain Duane L. Robinson stated, "When you travel this weekend, make sure everyone in the vehicle is buckled up. If your plans include water, make sure everyone wears a life jacket."
The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life and Wear It!!!
