EMPHASIS: Drug Seizure, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop D

On Tuesday, February 5, 2008, an eastbound 2007 Chrysler passenger car was stopped by a Highway Patrol trooper for speeding on Interstate 44 at the 78-mile marker, in Greene County. The trooper asked for consent to search the vehicle and consent was granted. During the search, approximately 60 pounds of marijuana was located in the trunk of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, Corey K. Brown, of Indianapolis, IN, and a passenger, Tracelle S. Williams, also of Indianapolis, IN, were arrested on trafficking in drugs-second degree and possession of a controlled substance. Both subjects were released to authorities.
The charges for which the above persons are accused are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
