EMPHASIS: Announcement Of Selective Traffic Enforcement Operations To Be Conducted By Troop B Officers During the Month Of June 2008
Captain John W. Elliott, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that Troop B officers will be participating in two Selective Traffic Enforcement Operations during the month of June 2008.
On June 7, 2008, officers will conduct a selective traffic enforcement operation on Missouri Highway 6, in Lewis County. On June 20, 2008, another selective traffic enforcement operation will be conducted in Macon and Shelby counties. The goal of each of these enforcement operations will be to detect individuals operating motor vehicles in an intoxicated condition, hazardous moving violations, and other violations that contribute to traffic crashes.
“Troop B officers will be conducting more special enforcement operations in the upcoming months,” stated Captain Elliott. “I would like to encourage motorists to pay attention to their driving habits, and always make sure everyone is buckled up.”
