EMPHASIS: Operation Safe Zone Operations

Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, announces that several Operation Safe Zone operations will be held during the months of September and October. In September, the operations will be conducted in Clay, Platte, and Cass counties. In October, the operations will be conducted in Clay and Platte counties. The goal of the operations will be to concentrate enforcement in construction areas.
Captain Powell stated, “Construction zones are dangerous for the workers and create traffic congestion that can lead to traffic crashes. The goal of these operations is to positively impact traffic problems within construction zones by reducing traffic crashes and making a safer work environment for the workers.”
