EMPHASIS: Temporary Closure Of The Driver Examination Station In Mt. Vernon

Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announces the temporary closure of the driver examination station in Mt. Vernon on Friday, October 10, 2014, for Apple Butter Making Days. The public is encouraged to use the Springfield, Republic, and Joplin locations. The Mt. Vernon examination station will resume normal testing on Friday, October 17, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
