EMPHASIS: Troop G Releases Results Of Sobriety Checkpoint/DWI Saturation



Captain Dwayne F. Isringhausen, commanding officer of Troop G, releases the following information:

A total of 46 arrests and 54 warnings were issued in conjunction with a sobriety checkpoint conducted in Howell County on December 10, 2011, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 160 and Missouri Route JJ. Totals from this checkpoint include:

1 -- felony DWI arrest
7 -- speed summonses
10 -- seat belt summonses
1 -- child restraint summons
2 -- driverās license summonses
6 -- uninsured motorist summonses
7 -- misdemeanor drug arrests
5 -- misdemeanor warrant arrests
5 -- minor-in-possession summonses
1 -- other hazardous moving violation summons
1 -- non-moving violation summons

A total of 27 arrests and 40 warnings were issued in conjunction with a DWI saturation conducted in Texas County on December 9, 2011. The designated highways for this saturation were U.S. Highway 60, U.S. Highway 60 Business Route, U.S. Highway 63, and Missouri Route MM. Totals from this saturation include:

2 -- DWI arrests
1 -- other felony arrest
9 -- seat belt summonses
1 -- no driverās license summons
2 -- uninsured motorist summonses
2 -- other hazardous moving violation summonses
5-- non-moving violation summonses
4 -- misdemeanor drug arrests
1 -- other misdemeanor arrest

Captain Isringhausen says, āThe motoring public has been very supportive of the Missouri State Highway Patrolās efforts to make our roads safer through the use of sobriety checkpoints and special enforcement operations. Nobody wants to share the road with a drunk, drugged, or otherwise unsafe driver. Please do your part by driving safely.ā
