EMPHASIS: Results of Special Enforcement Operation--Troop H

Captain James E. McDonald, commanding officer Troop H, St. Joseph, announces the results of a special enforcement operation conducted in Nodaway County. This operation was conducted in conjunction with Northwest Missouri State University’s Homecoming in Maryville, Missouri. The operation was conducted from 7:00 p.m. on October 18, 2014, to 3:00 a.m. on October 19, 2014. Six officers patrolled Nodaway County. As a result of the operation, those officers made the following enforcement contacts:

3--Driving while intoxicated arrests
1--Citation for seat belt violation
1--Citation for stop sign violation
3--Citations for hazardous moving violations
4--Citations for insurance violations
1--Misdemeanor warrant arrest
3--Arrests for minor in possession
44--Warnings

“The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s commitment to keeping our roadways safe through strict enforcement is of the utmost importance,” states Captain McDonald. “This operation demonstrates that commitment.”

In support of "The Drive To ZERO Highway Deaths," the Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Watercraft operators should ensure that everyone in the vessel is wearing an approved life jacket. Click It 4 Life And Wear It!!
