EMPHASIS: Captain Ellis Announces Promotion Of Corporal Christopher M. Clair


Captain Vincent J. Ellis, commanding officer, Troop A, announced effective December 23, 2007, the promotion of Trooper Christopher M. Clair to corporal. Corporal Clair will be the assistant zone supervisor assigned to Zone 16, Benton County.
Cpl. Clair joined the Patrol as a member of the 76th Recruit Class graduating in July 1999. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 10, Saline County.
Cpl. Clair was born in Kirksville, Missouri. He graduated from Knox County High School in Edina, Missouri, in 1989. Cpl. Clair graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in Kirksville, Missouri, in 1993. He received a bachelor’s of science degree in justice systems. Cpl. Clair worked for the Edina Police Department before joining the Highway Patrol.
Cpl. Clair is married to Penny Bland, formerly of Savannah, Georgia. Cpl. Clair has three children: Angelica, 15, Aliah, 10, and Christian, 5.
