EMPHASIS: Troop H Announces Holiday Enforcement Program

Captain Duane L. Robinson, commanding officer of Troop H, St. Joseph, announces that Troop H will participate in a project for the Independence Day holiday period to promote driving safety. The 20-Mile Trooper project is an initiative to reduce fatalities on interstates and designated highways in Missouri. The program dates are July 3, 2012, and July 8, 2012. The duration of each enforcement program will be 12 hours. The designated highways for the program in Troop H are Interstate 35, and U. S. Highways 36, 65, 71, and 169. The focus of the program is traffic violations, with an emphasis on impaired driving. “Make sure everyone in your vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint,” states Capt. Robinson.
