EMPHASIS: Traffic Stop Results In Drug Arrest In Henry County

On April 30, 2008, at approximately 9:40 p.m., a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped a 1999 Chrysler on southbound Missouri 13 Highway at Sparrowfoot for an equipment violation.
The driver, Arley B. Adcock, 49, of Hollister, Missouri, was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
A search of the vehicle incident to the arrest revealed a cardboard box containing five plastic bags of marijuana. The total weight of the recovered drugs was approximately five pounds. Adcock was transported to the Henry County Jail and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
The charges for which Arley B. Adcock was arrested are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
