EMPHASIS: Results Of Selective Traffic Enforcement Operation Conducted In Ralls County


Captain John W. Elliott, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the results of a Selective Traffic Enforcement Operation conducted by Troop B officers in Ralls County.
On July 5, 2008 from 9:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. on July 6, 2008, five Troop B officers focused their attention to highways in the Ralls County area. The goal of the operation was to detect intoxicated drivers and other hazardous moving violations that contribute to traffic crashes. During the six-hour enforcement operation, officers stopped 45 vehicles. The following is a list of enforcement contacts during the operation:

4 -- DWI arrests
6 -- Speeding Violations
1 -- Non-moving Violation
4 -- Driver’s License Violations
1 -- Uninsured Motorist Violation
2 --Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests
1 -- Other Misdemeanor Arrest
49 -- Warnings Issued
