EMPHASIS: Results Of Sobriety Saturation In St. Francois County
Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, St. Louis, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Friday, July 3, 2009, in St. Francois County. Five Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.
As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 34 arrests were made and 51 warnings were issued. Of the 34 arrests, two persons were arrested for driving while intoxicated.
“Sobriety saturations are very important in making our highways a safer place to travel,” stated Captain Johnson. “Troop C officers will be conducting various special enforcement operations throughout the year with a goal of reducing traffic crashes and saving lives on Missouri roadways.”
