EMPHASIS: New Troopers Assigned To Troop E


Captain George E. Ridens, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the assignment of five new troopers to Southeast Missouri. The new troopers are members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's 96th Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on July 12, 2013. The new troopers will report for duty on July 29, 2013.

Trooper Joshua B. Doyle Jr., a native of Duck Mill, Mississippi, has been assigned to Zone 10, which serves the citizens of Dunklin County. Trooper Doyle graduated from Montgomery County High School in Kilmichael, Mississippi. He holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi. Trooper Doyle’s field training officer will be Trooper Ricky L. Vannada.

Trooper Christopher E. Leach, a native of Cameron, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 2, which serves the citizens of Butler and Ripley counties. Trooper Leach graduated from Cameron High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in conservation enforcement from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. Trooper Leach’s field training officer will be Trooper Adam R. Johnson.

Trooper Joseph S. Palmer, a native of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 6, which serves the citizens of Scott, Mississippi, and New Madrid counties. Trooper Palmer graduated from El Dorado Springs High School. He holds an associate's of art degree from the Community College of The Air Force. Trooper Palmer is married to Michelle (Scurlock) Palmer and they have three children: Hunter Palmer, Courtney Palmer, and Kaitlyn Palmer. Trooper Palmer’s field training officer will be Trooper Steven M. Spain.

Trooper Bobby L. Riefle, a native of Piedmont, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 1, which serves the citizens of Butler and Ripley counties. Trooper Riefle graduated from Clearwater High School in Piedmont, Missouri. Trooper Riefle’s field training officer will be Trooper Shayne K. Talburt.

Trooper Ryan T. Schneid, a native of Anna, Illinois, has been assigned to Zone 1, which serves the citizens of Butler and Ripley counties. Trooper Schneid graduated from Anna-Jonesboro High School. He holds a bachelor’s degree in administration of justice from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. Trooper Schneid is married to Amanda (Brown) Schneid and they have one child, Addison Schneid. Trooper Schneid’s field training officer will be Corporal Randy C. Dye.
