EMPHASIS: Driving While Intoxicated Saturation In March
Captain Robert L. Powell, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee's Summit, announces there will be a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted sometime during the month of March in Clay and Johnson counties.
The saturation is part of the continuing effort of the Missouri State Highway Patrol to remove intoxicated drivers from Missouri roadways. Members of the Highway Patrol will concentrate their efforts on highways based on a high number of alcohol-related crashes and enforcement contacts.
Captain Robert L. Powell stated, "Do not let your life or someone else's life be ruined by an alcohol-related crash or arrest. If you are going to drink, please do not drive. Have a plan and make sure the plan includes a designated driver."
