EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Results Of DWI Saturation

Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the results of a DWI saturation that was conducted in Pulaski County from 7 p.m., December 11, 2010, until 3 a.m., December 12, 2010. The four troopers involved in the saturation made one DWI arrest, issued three citations for speed, and one for failure to wear a seat belt. The troopers also issued 24 warnings for various traffic offenses. Because of inclement weather and poor road conditions, the assigned troopers also were involved in either investigating or assisting in the investigation of numerous traffic crashes.
Captain Kenley stated, “Icy roads can make winter travel difficult enough. However, when a driver decides to drink and drive, it just makes the situation that much worse. I hope you enjoy the winter holiday season, but please don’t get behind the wheel if alcohol has been a part of your day.”
