EMPHASIS: Troop C Promotions


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, is pleased to announce the following Troop C promotions effective November 1, 2008:
Corporal Michele L. Coon, of New Haven, Missouri, was promoted to the rank of sergeant and will be designated the zone supervisor of Zone 5, serving Lincoln and Pike counties. Coon was appointed to the Patrol in January 1997, and assigned to Troop F, Jefferson City, serving Morgan and Moniteau counties. In 2000, she transferred to Troop C, St. Louis, Zone 16, serving Perry and Ste. Genevieve counties. In 2005, she was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 10, serving Franklin County. Prior to joining the Patrol, Coon attended Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice.
Sergeant Coon and her husband, Michael, currently reside in New Haven, Missouri, with their son, Austyn, 11.

Corporal James R. Campbell III, of Fenton, Missouri, was promoted to the rank of sergeant and will be designated the zone supervisor of Zone 4, serving St. Louis and Jefferson counties. Campbell was appointed to the Patrol in January 1997, and assigned to Troop C, Zone 12, serving Jefferson County. In 2005, he was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone commander of Zone 13, serving Jefferson County. Prior to joining the Patrol, Campbell attended Indiana State University, Bloomington, Indiana, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and business administration.
Sergeant Campbell is married to the former Candy Heiple, and they have three children: Bryan, 10, James, 7, and Lauren, 5.
