EMPHASIS: Patrol Announces Sobriety Checkpoint In Stone County

Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announces that a sobriety checkpoint will be held in Stone County sometime in the month of March 2013. The Missouri State Highway Patrol, in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies, will conduct the checkpoint.

Sobriety checkpoints are a part of the Patrol's effort to remove impaired drivers from Missouri's highways. These checkpoints are conducted at various locations which have been found to experience a high number of alcohol-related contacts.

The Patrol encourages motorists to protect themselves from all types of hazardous drivers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Click It 4 Life!
