EMPHASIS: Results of Sobriety Saturation In Ste. Genevieve County


Captain Ronald S. Johnson, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the results of a driving while intoxicated saturation conducted on Saturday, April 17, 2010, in Ste. Genevieve County. Four Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers conducted the enforcement operation during the eight-hour project.

As a result of the enforcement program, a total of 13 arrests were made and 31 warnings were issued. Of the 13 arrests, two subjects were arrested for driving while intoxicated. Three arrests were made for speed violations, two arrests were made for following too close, four arrests were made for other hazardous moving and non-moving violations, and two arrests were made for seat belt violations.

“This particular operation in the Ste. Genevieve area had good results,” stated Captain Johnson. “The troopers assigned to this detail worked hard and every effort was made to remove intoxicated drivers from our roadways."
