EMPHASIS: Colonel Ron Replogle Announces Promotions Effective March 1, 2015


Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following promotions effective March 1, 2015:

Corporal Greg T. Curnes is being promoted to the rank of sergeant and will remain in his assignment as a member of the Major Crash Investigation Unit’s Team 3, stationed in Rogersville, MO. Curnes is an ACTAR certified reconstructionist.

Curnes was appointed to the Patrol on August 1, 1993, as a member of the 66th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop D, Zone 14, Barry County. He was promoted to corporal in 2007. He joined the Major Crash Investigation Unit in 2013.

Curnes grew up in Reeds Springs, MO, and graduated from Reeds Springs High School in 1987. He holds a bachelor's degree in history from Central Missouri State University (now University of Central Missouri). Sergeant Curnes and his wife, Laura (Crockett), have a grown daughter, Sydney.

Corporal Paul W. Meyers is being promoted to the rank of sergeant and will remain in his assignment as a member of the Major Crash Investigation Unit's Team 2, stationed in Wentzville, MO. Meyers is an ACTAR certified reconstructionist.

Meyers was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 1996, as a member of the 72nd Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop F, Zone 8, Callaway County. He transferred to Zone 3, Boone County, in 2001. Upon being promoted to corporal in 2005, he was designated zone supervisor of Zone 10, Boone County. In 2013, he joined the Major Crash Investigation Unit.

Meyers grew up in Manitowoc, WI, and graduated from Lincoln High School. He holds an associate's of arts degree in criminal justice from Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO. Prior to joining the Patrol, Meyers served in the U.S. Army from 1991 to 1996 as a military policeman with assignments in Germany and at Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. Sergeant Meyers and his wife, Rachelle (Crane) have three children, Raven, Xavier, and Fletcher. Sgt. Meyers' parents, Edward and Linda Vetting, reside in Manitowoc, WI.
