EMPHASIS: Troop I To Conduct Special Enforcement Project In September



Captain Randy Becker, commanding officer of Troop I, announces troopers will conduct a special enforcement operation in Laclede County during the month of September. This enforcement operation will target hazardous traffic violations committed by the operators of commercial motor vehicles.
Troopers assigned to the operation will be patrolling Interstate 44. They will be watching specifically for any careless and imprudent driving practices committed by the drivers of commercial vehicles that, if undetected, could result in a traffic crash.
“As truck traffic on our highway increases, it becomes even more important that the drivers of commercial vehicles strictly obey the rules of the road,” said Captain Becker. “Our troopers will continue to enforce all laws relating to trucks in an effort to make our highway safer to everyone.”
