EMPHASIS: Results From Sobriety Checkpoint In Stone County


Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announces the results of a sobriety checkpoint held in Stone County on Missouri 13, south of Missouri 413, on Saturday, June 25, 2011.

Nine troopers stopped 360 drivers and a total of 46 arrests were made and 36 warnings were issued during the five hour project. Totals from this checkpoint include:

2 -- dwi arrests
6 -- felony arrests
3 -- felony warrant arrests
6 -- drug arrests
5 -- misdemeanor warrant arrests
1 -- misdemeanor criminal arrest
8 -- seat belt citations
6 -- drivers license citations
9 -- non-moving citations
