EMPHASIS: Area Residents Complete Troop I Community Alliance Program


On October 8, 2013, Troop I Headquarters of the Missouri State Highway Patrol completed its seventh Community Alliance Program. This program was a unique opportunity for residents, throughout the Troop I area, to gain insight and a better perspective of the training and duties experienced by officers of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The program was conducted at Troop I Headquarters, Rolla, MO, and consisted of five training sessions held on consecutive Tuesday evenings during the months of September and October. The 20 participants received classroom and practical instruction on various topics such as firearms, stopping and approaching vehicles, traffic crash investigations, criminal investigations, and driving while intoxicated enforcement.
Upon completion of the program, Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, presented participants with a plaque for appreciation of their efforts and willingness to participate in this program.
