EMPHASIS: Keytesville Resident Arrested On Drug Charges

On June 12, 2007, at approximately 9:55 p.m., a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped a 1995 Eagle Vision on U.S. Highway 24 at the east city limits of Moberly, Missouri, for an equipment violation. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Tina M. Widmer, 43, was found to be intoxicated. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Widmer was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance-morphine, felony possession of a controlled substance-Xanex, felony possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no operator’s license, driving while intoxicated (drugs), and no seat belt. Widmer was transported to the Randolph County Jail where she is being held pending issuance of warrants. The Patrol was assisted by the Moberly Police Department and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department.
The charges for which Tina M. Widmer was arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
