EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces Results Of Enforcement Operation



Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces the results of a hazardous moving enforcement operation conducted in Crawford County on March 20, 2009. During the eight-hour operation the two assigned troopers investigated a property damage traffic crash and stopped 28 vehicles. The troopers issued 21 warnings and made 19 arrests for the following traffic offenses:

Speed: 13
Careless And Imprudent Driving: 1
Following Too Close: 1
Failure To Wear A Seat Belt: 1
Insurance Violations: 3

Captain Kenley stated, “Thus far in 2009, Troop I officers have not had to investigate a fatal traffic crash. Our troopers will continue to enforce vigorously the rules of the road, and I encourage all motorists to do their part by always putting safety first.”
