EMPHASIS: Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Operation


Captain Johnnie B. Hoggatt, commanding officer of Troop H in St. Joseph, announces the results of a commercial vehicle enforcement operation. The eight-hour operation was conducted in Buchanan County on May 28, 2007. Four troopers and two commercial vehicle officers were assigned to the project. A total of 32 arrests were made during the operation. This total includes 11 speeding, two driver’s license, three non-moving, one misdemeanor, 12 seat belt, and three commercial vehicle violations. There were also 83 warnings written. During the operation, a total of 14 commercial vehicles and 46 noncommercial vehicles were stopped.
