EMPHASIS: Results Of DWI Checkpoint In Boone County


Captain Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer, Troop F Headquarters, Jefferson City, announced today the results of a driving while intoxicated checkpoint that was held in Boone County on September 6, 2013. A total of 211 vehicles were stopped. During the operation, one DWI arrest occurred for every 35 vehicles stopped. The following is a list of enforcement contacts for the operation:

6 -- DWI Arrests
2 -- Seat Belt Violations
6 -- Driving While Revoked/Suspended Violations
1 -- Insurance Violation
1 -- Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
7 -- Warnings

The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure
everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel
