EMPHASIS: Troop I Announces December Enforcement Operations


Captain Lee Ann H. Kenley, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that sometime during the month of December, troopers assigned to Troop I will be involved in two special enforcement operations that specifically targeting those drivers who are operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. During this operation, troopers will patrol those highways in Phelps and Laclede counties where statistics have shown a larger number of crashes and arrests involving impaired drivers have occurred in the past.
“Too many people are seriously injured or killed on Missouri’s streets and highways every year by drunk drivers,” said Capt. Kenley. “I hope that these saturation patrols may serve as another important tool in fighting this serious problem.”
