EMPHASIS: Felony Marijuana Arrest In Callaway County

On July 8, 2008, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F Eradication Team, MUSTANG Task Force, and Callaway County Sheriff’s Officer arrested Michael B. Matney, 39, and Angel M. Pierce, 23, both of Fulton, Missouri, for felony possession with the intent to distribute and felony cultivation of marijuana.
Matney and Pierce were arrested after Patrol officers conducted an investigation that located 38 cultivated marijuana plants, processed amounts of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and 2.5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms. Matney and Pierce are being held in the Callaway County Jail until bond is set.
The charges for which Matney and Pierce were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
