EMPHASIS: Ten Pounds Of Marijuana Seized By Highway Patrol

On June 24, 2007, at approximately 11:45 a.m., a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped a Chevrolet Blazer on eastbound Interstate 44 at the 237-mile marker in Franklin County for a lane violation.
Consent to search the vehicle was obtained and approximately 10 pounds of marijuana was located in the bottom of a cooler and in a duffle bag.
The driver, Melissa S. Weir, 29, of New Castle, PA, and the passenger, Willard H. Robertson, 21, of New Castle, PA, were arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Weir and Robertson were transported to the Franklin County Detention Facility.
The charges for which the above subjects are accused are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
