EMPHASIS: Troop E To Participate in Brake Safety Awareness Week



The Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in conjunction with the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) will participate this year in “Brake Safety Awareness Week”, scheduled for September 21, 2008, through September 28, 2008.
“Brake Safety Awareness Week” is an educational outreach program designed to train companies, drivers, and mechanics about proper brake adjustment limits and air brake systems.
Troop E invites all trucking companies who would like to participate in the program to contact Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Chief Bill Britton at Troop E Service Center in Sikeston at 573-472-5200. Troop E will conduct a free brake check on September 23 and 24, 2008, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at D & D Trucking located on U.S. Highway 60 at Missouri Route FF near Essex, Missouri.
