EMPHASIS: Results Of DWI Checkpoint In Cole County


Captain Gregory D. Kindle, commanding officer, Troop F Headquarters, Jefferson City, announced today the results of a driving while intoxicated checkpoint that was held in Cole County on March 16, 2013. A total of 158 vehicles were stopped. During the operation, one DWI arrest occurred for every 52 vehicles stopped. The following is a list of enforcement contacts for the operation:

2 -- Seat Belt
1 -- Non-Moving
3 -- Driver’s License
1 -- Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
4 -- Misdemeanor Drug Arrests
20 -- Warnings

The Patrol encourages motorists and watercraft operators to protect themselves by making sure
everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint and everyone in the vessel
