EMPHASIS: Troop G Labor Day Holiday Totals



Captain Dwayne F. Isringhausen, commanding officer, Troop G, Willow Springs, announces the following traffic totals for the Labor Day holiday period. Troop G troopers participated in Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) conducted Friday, August 31, 2012, through Monday, September 3, 2012. Troop G troopers working on U.S. Highway 60 also participated in the 20-Mile Trooper project. Troopers assigned to this operation worked 12-hour shifts to patrol 20-mile intervals on major highways and interstates in Missouri on Friday, August 31, 2012, and Monday, September 3, 2012.
Troop G reported one fatal traffic crash, investigated three alcohol-related traffic crashes, and investigated 17 traffic crashes on C.A.R.E. designated highways. Troopers made 379 arrests and issued 590 warnings in Troop G in the course of the weekend. Enforcement totals include:

7 -- DWI Arrests (alcohol)
236 -- Speed Summonses
96 -- Seat Belt Summonses
11-- Child Restraint Summonses
3 -- Hazardous Moving Summonses
5 -- Non-moving Summonses
4 -- Driverâs License Summonses
13-- Uninsured Motorist Summonses
1 -- Minor-In-Possession Summons
3-- Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests

Additionally, officers provided assistance to 168 motorists.

Captain Isringhausen says, "The Labor Day holiday weekend is a time for families to enjoy the last getaway of the summer. However, it can be a tragic time when drivers do not give their complete attention to their driving. I want to thank the public for their safe driving efforts and remind everyone to always buckle their safety belt."
