EMPHASIS: Moberly Resident Arrested For Anhydrous Ammonia Theft
On March 17, 2009, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Gregory G. Lipscomb, 24, of Moberly, Missouri, was arrested for his involvement of an anhydrous ammonia theft that occurred at a residence in Shelby County on March 9, 2009. He is the second person arrested in connection with the theft. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Shelby County Sheriff’s Department, and the Clarence Police Department are investigating the incident.
Lipscomb was arrested for the following felony charges: theft of anhydrous ammonia, unlawful release of anhydrous ammonia, and possession of anhydrous ammonia in an unapproved container. He is being held in the Shelby County Jail on a $30,000 cash only bond.
The charges for which Lipscomb was arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
