EMPHASIS: Troop G 10-Mile Trooper Project Totals


Captain Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G, Willow Springs, announces the results of a two-day enforcement operation in Troop G. The 10-Mile Trooper operation was conducted on U.S. Highway 60 on May 22, 2009, and May 25, 2009.

The following are the totals from the program:

DWI -- 2
Careless & imprudent driving -- 1
Speed (trucks) -- 12
Speed (cars) -- 151
Failed to yield -- 1
Seat belt -- 48
Child restraint -- 1
Stop sign -- 3
Other hazardous motor vehicle -- 4
Non-moving -- 28
Driver’s license -- 3
Commercial vehicle arrests -- 3
Uninsured motorists -- 18
Misdemeanor drug -- 3
Misdemeanor warrant arrests -- 7

Troopers also wrote 175 warnings during the operation.
