EMPHASIS: Troop B Officers To Conduct DWI Saturations During The Month Of July 2015

Captain James E. Wilt, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces that sometime during the month of July 2015, Troop B officers will conduct DWI enforcement saturations in Adair, Lewis, Monroe, Ralls, and Randolph counties. During these enforcement operations, troopers will focus their attention on selected highways with a goal of detecting impaired drivers, hazardous moving violations, speed, and other traffic violations that cause traffic crashes.
"The Patrol is committed to removing impaired drivers from our highways," stated Captain Wilt. "I would like to urge all motorists to choose a sober designated driver if drinking alcohol is a part of your plans."
Approximately 63 percent of Missouri fatal crash victims who are required to be restrained are NOT at the time of the traffic crash. The Patrol urges motorists to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint.
